Water-soluble acrylic resins are divided into three types: acrylic resin emulsions, acrylic resin aqueous dispersions and acrylic resin aqueous solutions. Emulsions are mainly synthesized by emulsifying oily alkene monomers in water under the initiation of water-soluble radical initiators, while resin aqueous dispersions are synthesized by different processes such as free radical solution polymerization or stepwise solution polymerization.
